I really enjoyed watching the Spanish immersion video. If I
had children, I would definitely consider sending them to a school that offers
these services. There are a number of benefits that a Spanish immersion school
has to offer. While learning a second language children are enhancing their
collaborative thinking as well as their problem solving skills. I believe the
teachers at this school are very open minded and are able to teach kids how to
be patient, especially while learning another language.
It was pretty interesting to see how the kids learn and what they do throughout the day. Everyone seemed to enjoy the diversity and connected with the Spanish language in a social way. This kind of school gives children more of an opportunity to be expressive and appreciate different cultures. Children also have the ability to teach parents at home about the Spanish culture, which results having a more parent involved community. Overall, I do not believe there are any specific drawbacks from sending a child to this school.
